Sketchbook: Tough Gorilla
Word from: Shlomo

For this post, I decided to shoot for a different tone than the last and stumbled upon this gem from a couple of years back. You see I used to draw a lot on my computer during my years in Yeshiva University using the extremely primitive, yet delightful, windows paint program and one of those little furry knobs that they stick in the center of the keyboard (what are those called?).

This period also coincided with the development of my still-strong association with Mr. Elijah Gorilla (pictured here). Idunno, people just seem to like my portraits of this fellow. Enjoy!

Oh, how I've missed Mr. Gorilla. Good to see he's still, y'know, blue.

Well, this is an old photo. The truth is, he really goes through phases. You know, like growing a beard for a while, then shaving it for a while, etc.

Elijah is rather polite to only think the diss and not to say it. A very impressive display of self-restraint from a Gorilla (although I guess conforming to Halacha also demands an equal if not higher level of restraint....)
