    I was waiting, I suppose-
    for the war to be over;
    I wanted to have all the time in the world to spend
    watching your leaves grow to shed their silvery sheen
    small white flowers curling like a murex
    purpling the arbor, the orchard
    with their slow and spreading shade.

  2. I liked this poem. In large part b/c I'm always looking to learn new words and Murex was a new one for me. I liked that the term murex sounds kind of scientific. I also like how even though the poem is short it still 'moved' slowly when I read it.
